A look at the Family Agamidae

Microauris

Introduction

A relatively new genus created after the systematic revision of Calotes. The authors decided on the basis of Calotes aurantolabium's deep divergence with other Calotes species and its sister-relationship with the clade composed of Calotes, Monilesaurus, and Psammophilus. and thus based on its phylogenetic position and morphological attributes, to assign it to the new genus Microauris.
